The JBB Project, Inc.

Home Board of Directors Guest Book

She is thoughtful, caring, gracious and creative.  Her name is Ana, a 14 year old freshman in High School that spends a great deal of her time making necklaces, bracelets, and earrings to donate them to those in need of a smile.  Ana asks for nothing in return.  On several occasions, I have been in a bind trying to get JBB jewelry ready for a fundraiser or fill a large order.  Ana would be there to lend her creative hand.  She put special notes on her jewelry that read, “This was made especially for you by an 11 year old girl.”  She never wanted recognition.  She just wanted to create jewelry and share her passion with others.  Ana, now 14, has finally been convinced to put her name so the children can identify her by name.

On December 7, 2008, Ana and her family set up a home party to raise funds for The JBB Project.  Ana displayed her handcrafted jewelry, her sister, Nina put together a sale table of toys and craft kits, and Kim, a family friend, set up an Avon Table.  The girls also handcrafted little boxes to place the jewelry in after purchase.  Mom and neighbors made all kinds of sweets.  The visitors came pouring in.  I walked through the house in amazement of the creativity and heart warming thought that went into this event.  The girls and their family raised over $400.00.  THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED!

This is not the first time that Ana and her family helped the JBB Project.   Last year, the girls coordinated a neighborhood yard sale/lemonade stand to raise money for the cause.

The JBB Project is most grateful for their efforts.  The project plans on using these funds toward helping the Neely Transplant Unit at the Floating Hospital fulfill their need for supplies.
