The JBB Project evolved from my personal experience with childhood cancer. My son Joseph was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the age of two. After 3 ½ years of many different protocols, nothing could outsmart his cancer and his life was taken from him at age 5 1/2. During this journey we were faced with much adversity and the emotional roller coaster that becomes part of normal everyday life. Although our family was given the horrible experience of cancer, we did everything possible to have fun throughout this difficult journey. This project was started to help cancer stricken children and their families.
Our mission is to utilize the Joey’s Blood Buddies concept in providing helpful ways for pediatric cancer patients and their families to cope with the difficult journey with cancer in a positive and creative manner. Donations will be used to fund the many intangible day-to-day necessities that families require while dealing with a child with cancer.
